My wife & I are looking to move to Bedford, IN and wanted to know if the area has good dealerships. I see the closest is Louisville, KY but know nothing of the dealer itself.
If it seems to be a problem I'll probably sell the bike before we move and get a more "popular" brand.
Thanks.

Ed,

Indiana is hurting a little right now with the demise of South Bend BMW, Revards BMW in Indy, and Tri-City BMW near Cincinnati. That leaves you Woodson BMW in Fort Wayne (which is much more active with their Japanese products) and Louisville.

Louisville will only be a couple of hours (or less) away, so I'm not sure selling your BMW is really necessary. Good luck with your move!

Ed,
The Lousville dealer has a nice shop and they are very friendly, my neighbor bought his BMW there and has been serviced by them. He is very satisfied with their work. The owner is an active rider as well as owner of the Buick dealership next door. I think you will find them very helpfull. And as you know the Bedford area has a number of really great roads to enjoy!!

The Louisville dealer will be less that 2 hours away, and it is a great ride on top of that!! I am in Bloomington and the Louisville dealership tells me and others, they will be opening a shop in the Indianapolis area... :D
As stated above, the southern IN area is a great area for riding. David

I'm a little late to this party but I'll chime in anyway. I live in Jackson County just east of Bedford. The Louisville dealer will be your only option for a while. I bought my bike there six years ago and several friends got theirs from him as well. The owners name is Jeff Cook and he is an avid rider. His daughter lives near Bloomington so he rides thru the area often.

I have heard the service dept is very good but I usually to all my own work. Louisville is only about 85 miles from Bedford

They are moving across the street into the old Buick dealership building. Jeff's dad owned the Buick dealership but sold it a few years ago. The bigger building will be nice.

He has received approval from BMWNA to open a dealership in Indy but I don't know the timetable.
