I need some help wiring a 6 CD changer factory harness for my 05 LT. My bike was never pre-wired for it, and I'm trying to make one work for my Dension Dice iPod.
James Goodchild made a 10 pin module for me to plug into the back of the radio stingray (see pics). It was configured in the following manor:
Top Row - 6 7 8 9 10
6 - Audio Ground (Brown)
7 - Not Used
8 - Not Used
9 - Ground Power (Brown/Black stripe)
10 - I/K Bus (White/Violet stripe)
Bottom Row - 1 2 3 4 5
1 - Left Audio + (Black)
2 - Right Audio + (Yellow/Black stripe)
3 - Not Used
4 - Not Used
5 - 12 Volt + (Red/Blue stripe)
I just need confirmation that is configuration is correct. Can anybody help? Thanks, in advance.

The rest are fine. And the connector is the one on the left as you look at the unit.

Hey John, thank for the reply. Quick question, does position number 1 (pin 1) start from the top row far right or the bottom row far left. I have two schematic pictures showing conflicting info. Thanks, Dave.

Do you have schematics for the two different radios used in the LT? The earlier one had a cassette player, and then later on a single CD slot. I don't know when the switchover was, but my '02 came with the cassette version and was replaced under warranty with the CD version in late 2004. My guess is that the picture 225910.jpg with pin 5 labeled "ACC" is the CD version, which also let you cycle CD, Acc, and Intercom.

I have a 2000 K1200LT with the radio that has a casset player and buttons that would indicate that it had CD player capabilities, however, after I took radio housing off of the bike, I found no CD wiring harness but I did find a 10 pin plug tucked away in the back of the radio that's not being used. I assume that it's for the CD player.
I would like to confirm that it's for a CD player. I would also like to find a male plug for it which will be used to plug my iPod player into. I can make the necessary cables, but I need to find a source for the 10 pin male plug.
Any ideas?

If it's a small white plug, then it's for an unused intercom connection and so no help to you. The earlier LTs that didn't come with a CD changer have a different radio wiring harness. You'd have to buy or make up the correct harness.

Does anyone have a schematic of the 2 - 10 pin connectors in the back of the CD player?

I assume you mean the radio. I've placed the document in another thread you had going. If you are talking the CD player, it has 2 plugs, not one, a 3 pin and a 6 pin. If you want those pinouts, let me know.
