BMWRA Rally - Boise, ID

We're taking off Wed morning to "Find Ourselves in Idaho" at the BMWRA Rally. Looks like a great event schedule. I'm personally looking forward to the "Coffee with Dave" sessions planned for Friday and Saturday mornings. That's, David Hough. We'll also be checking out McCall, ID as it's one of the 5X5 legs later in September. This rally is the first stop on the "Peaks of America" tour. Perhaps we'll see YOU there!?!

A little over 2000 miles on the road for a week. Took in some great country while doing a little recon for the 5x5 in September. Many firsts. Road in marble sized hail. Got hit pretty good in the neck a couple of times. Three good thunder showers on different days but mostly in the afternoon. Had Mormon Crickets completely covering the road in several place of Humboldt Canyon. Very slippery, stinky critters! We found the Mill Town Expresso stand again in Crescent, OR. Highs above 100 degrees, lows in the upper 40s. We had snow at Crater Lake with the loop still not open all the way around! Major morning fog out in the Redwood forest along the coast out of Crescent City. Very beautiful rainforest appeal just the same. The rally had a number of good vendors, seminars, and drawings. Not completely unprofitable for the four of us. I won the drawing for a free Rick Mayer saddle but Mia won the drawing for a motorcycle tour of New Zealand! We came home tired but what a ride!
