Well while others are trying to move south, me and the SO on the other hand, are moving north. We are relocating to the Hamden, CT area. Matter of fact, we are currently here in Hamden looking to secure housing and setup closing on a new to us house. Look forward to getting to know ya'll up here and riding some of these great NE roads...

Well the little lady is going to be working in New Haven at Yale Univ. and she did not want to have to far of a drive when the winter sets in. So if she's happy then me and Black Buelah are happy.

John, y'all might want to re-think your bike's name, especially in the area of New Haven! There are a few folks who would not take too kindly to hearing it, even in passing.
I lived there way too long to look for more trouble that I could easily have avoided.

before you commit to anything....look around a bit more. youll be amazed at how much you can save in taxes, elect. and the price of housing if you move 15-20 mins farther away from new haven,,,north haven is nice a bit more for houses but less tax than hamden,,,wallingford is a 20 min.ride to new haven but much less to live here than both north haven and hamden..btw my sister works for yale and i have a few friends that work there also

Welcome to the area! I hope you are going to be able to find an area you like, you've gotten some really good info from Lenny, I agree with him totally.
You also may want to check out over in the Clinton area to get away from the really crowded Urban landscape that is the Rte. 91 Corridor.
Looks like we're starting to get quite a posse together around here!

Thank guy for the welcomes and the info. As far as the political correctness goes, I do not subscribe to that way of thinking. However, I look forward to meeting everyone at some point. I also have the HF tire changer, No mar bar and Marc Payne balancer... Going to put on my new VStream windshield when I get home along with my new Stone front tire... Goin'a miss riding in January though. If it ain't snowing or freezing I've been known to put on the electric clothes and ride anyway... I believe 18 degrees is the lowest I ever rode in and that was back in the day when I was on my Super Glide HD with no wind shield and just insulated drawers and a scarf. Can't take the cold like I once did.
Again, look forward to meeting everyone here in the NE and the rest of the gang at the CCR.

Not sure what you mean by that and don't want to put words in your mouth. I do think that one can be from areas other than New Haven and find the name offensive. We all know that Buelah was black and a maid. We don't need to be reminded of how long it took to go from that characterization to Dr. Huxtable! It's not about political correctness as much as putting the shoe on the other foot.
I too welcome you to the area and look forward to meeting you at the next Tech Session.

As far as the name for the motorcycle, this is the only place it is ever called that. Buelah was a name of an old car my grandfather had and over time I have used that name for other vehicles. It is not nor was it ever intended to be demeaning to anyone. However, if they are, then they may have issues they need to work out....
Again, I look forward to meeting ya'll.

Welcome to the area. My dad lives in Hamden, has most of his life. An expensive town to live in. You might want to look in North HAven or Wallingford. Or if money is not object Branford is a great place to live and you are only two towns out from HVN.
ANyway Welcome.
