When I plug in my Ipod into the Ice-Link connector, the Dension logo comes up on the screen but I also see the message "OK to disconnect". When I switch the bike radio over to CD, a message says "no CD". Checked the fuse and connections on the Ice-Link and all appear OK. Any ideas anybody?

Did you hit the CD button a 2nd time to take it to the CD changer and not the single unit up front? Just a thought. If it's not as simple as that we may need more info.

I didn't know that you had to push the CD button more than once. I only had to push it once when it was working before. I tried what you said however and got some information briefly from the Ipod, but still not working.

You may have to disconnect the ice>Link completely from the LT's wiring so it can reset.

I'll try that and let you know

Tried disconnecting everything and found that some of the connections were corroded. Cleaned with contact cleaner and put back together, but now I don't get the Dension screen coming up. Quitting for the night but may try bypassing connectors and hard wiring it. Does the software need to be loaded in again maybe?

Cleaned up all connections and updated the Ice-Link firmware to ver. 2B2 and tried again. Would not update the firmware on the unit itself. All I get is the Dension screen saying O.K. to disconnect. Anybody have a schematic of this thing? I might try calling Dension if they still offer phone support.

Is there a checkmark as well? This means the iPod needs a simple reboot.
Try disconnecting the iPod and rebooting by pressing on the MENU and center buttons for +5 seconds and reconnecting to the ice>Link.

Done that already. I spoke to Dension about it and they're going to replace it under warranty.

I had the same problem (no Denison screen) about a week ago after having my battery disconnected for some work. Leaving the battery connected and disconnecting the rectangular plug at the ice-link for a minute or so got things back to normal for me.
On another note is anyone using the 4 gig pod nano? Do you get freeze ups similar to the hard drive units? I have a 60 gig photo and lock ups are just about a daily occurrence. Recovers OK most of the time but it's really irritating.

Do you have text display activated on the K1200LT? If so, does the display change when the freeze occurs?

Yes the display is activated. I can hear when it has problems. There will be a click in the speakers and the display usually changes between the playlist/cd # and a corresponding AUX #. The ipod usually continues to play a few songs before stopping completely. Sometimes the ipod resets itself and other times, not. I commute daily for close to 2 hours. I have been using the ice link for well over a year and nothing I have done has had any major impact on it's performance. Despite the pains, I still prefer it over the CD changer and will not give up that extra case space to go back. As I remember I was not too fond of the CD player skipping either. Sorry, no solutions, just my experiences.

When an AUX message appears, it meas the iPod has broken communication with the ice>Link. This can be anything from a loose connector or even from not "ejecting" the iPod from the computer when unplugging - never allowing the iPod to revert to "iPod mode".
Usually, a simple reboot of the iPod is all that's needed to get things in working order again.
