Costco Online: $799 + shipping. Must be ordered by 6/30. Best price I have seen for this unit. Also, I don't believe Costco charges a re-stocking fee for returned items.

Thought some of you might be interested....

BETTER DEAL YET! I have a Costco close by, so I like the option of returning it there if there's a problem. For me, worth the $11 shipping.

NO, it doesn't come with enough storage to store all of N. America in it, it has it stored ready to use (All of the US that is)

AND, something I learned to like lately, is that you can buy audio books, and store HOURS and HOURS of audio books in the unit at the same time. Depending on your book sound quality, you can store AT LEAST 100 hours, and if you take the ounds quality a little bit back, even as much as 250 hours .... (I'm still on the first 25 ... VERY nice for commuting)

Hi folks,
I did a lookup for the new Garmin 2820 on www.pricegrabber.com and found it here for 797.00 It's worth a look at! There are a number of companies listed there that have them for around the same price.

It depends on what you mean by interface. My 2006LT came pre-wired for the BMW GPS. The power cable hooks up & works just fine with the 2730. But to get sound to the speakers, I have to run a cord from the 2730 audio out socket to the auxillary socket on the Voice II.

I do love the 2730, though. Being able to have xm & gps and nav traffic all in one unit sure is handy!

Hi Guys,
On the 2005 Voice II, you can get mono through the interface and stereo through the FM transmitter built into the 2730. The audio quality is better through the line/headset out jack though. Also, you can get rid of all the extra voice files and get some more space, I kept the Australian and english voices. I have had one for about a month now and it is awsome!

I have the 06LT with factory GPS, and installed the 2730 and there is no voice from the speakers... so this seems to be the answer to my problem.

First of all what is the Voice II and what type of cable do I need to run. A little more specific for a non-techie please.

Thanks,
Ty
