Nope.. I have the 2610, does all I need and only differences are:
- it doesn't have the BMW dealer locations loaded...
- it might not work with the buttons on the BMW mount...

You can get a "refurbished", I am told, for about $400. I paid over double.. when I got a brand new one.

I mounted it on a BMR shelf.. pics are on this site under my name.

BTW, my folks still live in Morgan City...
