Rider Seat Sizes

I know there is a difference between the standard and low seats, but I seem to remember there is also a difference in the seats between newer and older models. Is my memory correct or am I having a "senior" moment. If I'm correct, what are the differences. Thanks all.

I have an 05 and the seat is a POS. The Pre-05/06 seats are wider by atleast 1.0 inch and way more comfortable. I borrowed one from an 03 LT while I sent my stock seat away to Russell to be remade.

My Russell is back and with the rear side wing support is near 18 inchs wide at the rear and very comfy!

I found that my seat after about 6 months compressed about 3/4 of an inch. Time spent in the saddle will help you get closer to the ground without doing anything. Ron

The seat was redesigned for 05 and later year models. It's lower overall and narrower at the front to make it easier to reach the ground.
