I asked the question "Are the winds of change ablowin'?! (http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2863&highlight=Winds+change)".
Tomorrow morning... I, messenger13, am picking up my new K1200GT. This will mark the definite beginning of the end of my LT ownership. The LT is a fine machine. A magnificent piece of enginuity. And I will miss it. But that new GT ain't gonna suck either! :D

Joe,
Good luck with the GT , I've always loved them. How's the ridding position compared to the LT? I'm hopping that they'll have some in Vermont for demo rides.

Scary....!
The last three times I test drove a BMW I ended up taking the darn thing home... sometimes I just hate salespeople... ;)
I now end up wearing shorts and sandals to the dealer just to avoid the test drive (although most have offered to gear me up for the ride...go figure)! I predict my next test ride will either be on a R1200GSA or 2008/9 K1200LT...:)
Have fun with the new GT today... :D

That is a sweet bike Joe. How does your significant other feel about you losing the LT?

She's more than fine with it. In fact, she likes the ride of the GT over the LT. This suspension is really sweet. Right outta the box!
