I was riding home up the central valley from WCR in the 95 degree heat thinking about a large, frosty, dripping liter of beer. Quite an inspirational image. Also, inspired me to suggest Sudwerks in Davis for HDDC this week.

Coloma Theater Luau Fundraiser - Wed, Jun 21, 2006
Come kick off the summer with an outdoor luau buffet: roasted pork, pineapple rice, roasted potatoes, etc. and dance all evening to the beat of Late for Dinner. Don't forget to wear your muumuus, grass skirts, coconut bikinis or sarongs to get your drink discounts.
General Admission w/ Food - $20 6:00 pm

RCB is going to Parra's in Georgetown. A bit better than Taco Bell but it seems like we just had Mexican food in the foothills last Saturday night! :p

The Ore Cart is behind the Red Dirt Saloon on the other side of the street (North side) from Robber's Roost. Last time Nancy and I were up there, the Robber's Roost was "out of business". Maybe by now they've been re-openned.

Good ride last night, that cool air climbing up to Forest Hill really felt good. Man that was a big burger, even spliting it with Doug we couldn't finish it. Driving down the hill at twilight toward the west the air started out nice a cool and slowly worked it's way back up to about 90 degrees at 9:30PM. But the air was still and the riding just about perfect. :D
