Its official...got the 05LT today (thanks to Larry Johnson taking my pampered Harley off my hands). It baby diaper yellow, 0 miles with all the goodies (except rack on back.) This thing makes my 05 Harley look like the Flinstone mobile....love my BMW!!!! :bmw:

That's a pretty good analogy.

Congratulations on your purchase!

Sorry about your having to sleep on the couch.... :-)

:p See .... how easy that was, next job is to train yourself to deal with BBS.

Chances are the sofa sleeping thing won't happen ;) You have too be home to sleep their, & with BBS, thats not likely.

Scott

PS. Congrats on the new bike.

Awww, heck yeah!

I gotta tell you, from one happily banished from H.D., you're never gonna miss it! Yup... It's great!

My wife loves the BMW... but there was some trepedation... now, she knows I may trade bikes but never her...

Congrats!

Just got off an HD Ultra myself and can't believe the difference in bikes. The ride, the toys, the look, and the quickness....and the brakes (damn thing will stop when you tell it to). I had a gorgeous pearl white ultra that got lots of looks, but nothing like the ones I get on this blue LT. Even my old ridin buddies have nothing but good comments (well of course I put up some some ribbing about weather or not it is running), but a few of them are looking to get a second bike and are thinking hard about an LT after seeing mine up close. By the way, do you need a good divorce lawyer to insure you keep the bike when it's all said and done?

Hey cfell, I just went to Bandera with a group of my old H-D buddies and rode the Three Sisters. Couldn't believe the difference in how this bike handled over my Ultra. No comparing.

Howdy, Lonewuff!

Wow, that was quite a ride!... I'm sure you had a good time! I love that area.. still looks like "Texas"!!

Did you ride all the way from near Conroe? That must have been about 300 miles each way.. right?

So, I guess the LT is ready for it's 600 mile check!

Yeah, it has been a blessing being banished from hd.. don't miss it at all.

Perhaps you can ride over to Grif's for a Tech Session.. one coming up on 24JUNE... several folks also ride in from Houston area.. soooo.. you might be able to meet up with someone for the trip....

Anyway, there is NO way to compare a Cadillac to a rickshaw.

Thats great. Just toss her on the back of the bike and give her the old BMW long distance ride. That should be enough to convince her.

Hey cfell,

Can you PM me and fill me in on Grif's Tech Session. I don't know what it is.

Yes, 80 bikes (79 HD's & me) rode over to Bandera for a four day weekend during the Riverfest. Had a ball.
