It reminds me of the propeller that you can get for the front of a 51 Studebaker Bulletnose or the add on you can put on a trailer hitch receptacle.

Is that for real and would it interfere with the engine?

If you get that, do you need to have spinners on your wheels? ~;-)

Can be made to work - my friend Tom Cantrell bought a used LT. Looking at his exhaust, I noticed someone had drilled large holes in the down spout so that the exhaust is redirected rear-wards. Not sure why someone would do this, but oh well.
