Greetings people.
It's finally happened inspite of me being so careful. I was moving the LT off its centre stand in readiness for a ride, its weight caught me unawares with a little lean to the left and I couldn't hold her. I was fortunately lucky enough to be able to gently guide her over until she rested on those unbelievable black bumper strips. I can't believe how well they work. The previous owner has done the same thing as indicated by previous small marks on the bumper strips. Short of adding a few small scratches to the collection already on the bumper strips, we both got off without any further damage what-so-ever.
Now the clever part. I remember reading a thread on the technique of getting these big machines back on the straight and level. I backed up to the Bismarck, took hold of the handle bar and the grip to pull the beast back up onto the centrestand and using the legs, up she came back onto an even keel.
What a superb technique. I forget the clever person that invented this technique but thankyou indeed. I was relieved to sustain no damage and relieved to get her back up.
Kindest regards to all.
