...for shipping starting June 26th. Final price available in a day or two...

Group buy anyone?? :D

I've already got a short list for the first week's production.

Yeah, I know I should post this in the Vendor's area but nobody ever visits there much ... seems like everyone there is always trying to sell you something. ;)

Ron,
Curious what composition you found in the stock GT seat when you opened it compared to what is inside an LT OEM seat?

Hi Jeff:

Same old 'thang - one piece of molded polyurethane foam!

Except the quality seems to be WORSE. Noticed this on the 05 RT and GS seats as well. We've done four GT seats so far and the foam at the very front bottom edge of the seat on all of them was "cracked" already. I don't know how this translates into long term durability - it just seems to tear easier. Not really a comfort issue due to the location.

All of these seats are made in Spain. On the plain. In the rain. :bmw:

It should look like this, but the metal portion will be a little different:

Ron,
What is your take on the shape of the stock GT seat with the high spot in the back??
Also, how soon will you be posting prices and be able to ship? Some available in 210 plus lbs size?
Thanks,
Jeff

Hmmm, did not really notice a high spot - it is flat. $475.00 for the driver, passenger is $250 to $350. Mid September is now our FIRST available production date. No extra charge for minus or plus versions, your weight at 210 is standard.

On sport tourers, I haven't found much use for a driver backrest unless I also mount highway pegs. And on this bike I am lost as to how to mount any highway pegs. Do you really get much support with a backrest when you are positioned forward?

I believe the backrest is only for the rear seat.
