Does anyone make a hitch yet?

From what I have heard, the combined wiring harness/data harness makes it extremely diificult to put a hitch on one of the newer bikes.

If anyone has been successful I would like to know. I want to keep pulling a trailer and would consider the new KGT if it was possible..

HI!

I have a K1200LT 2004.
I made a trailer hitch by myself.
And I have made all electrics by myself as well.
All this is possible in Finland.

I connected all wires from rear light to trailer.
It is working very well.
So, there is nothing to worry about Canbus.

@leiboshi,
Being as it is Finland, do reindeer products have a role in your manufacture of the hitch or electrics? ;<) Or is there some other reason this is especially possible in Finland?

Yeah. We make them of reindeer horns :)

Well actually the difference is that we do not need any approval for trailer hitch in a motorcycle. I think that it is needed in most western countries. But I am not sure.

Did anyone ever find out where the hitch came from for the 1200S that was pulling the Uni-Go in the pictures??

Actually, the difference is that a 2004 LT doesn't even employ the CANBUS technology! Unless of course...that is available only in Finland too.

Actually we're trying to find a hitch for the '05 K1200S that's pulling the Uni-Go trailer in the picture. Uni-Go doesn't make a hitch for that bike and no one else seems to either. We're thinking the owner had it custom fabricated and would be very interested in tracking that down.

K1200GT home made hitch. After buying a hitch I didn't care for the looks so this what I made. 3000 mi. with a loaded Uni-go , works great.
