Also may add that I have paint that comes with bike to paint rear trunk to match bike..

Joe,
What is your asking price and the condition of the tires? I can see that a Harley rider might not be comfortable on an R12RT because of the seat height and footpeg placement but I find the RT to be the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden 1 up. In a weak moment, I sold my 2005 RT and am considering buying another at the right price.
Have you considered having Russell Day Long or Rick Mayer build a seat specifically for you? Unless you simply don't like the riding position, it might solve your problem and save you some money.

Hello Ben..
I am asking 15.5 for it..
I am sure you could get 2500 miles on tires on bike.
Since I have bought the bike the side bags have never been on since I ride with my wife and she has trouble getting on
with bags since bike is so high..
I have not tried Russell or Mayer and the height of bike with wife riding just makes me feel uncomfortable..
I have a Harley Springer and rent a Full Dress Harley every year out west and have no problems..
I bought RT with lightness in mind but over looked the height and riding wife and how I feel..
I do like the bike and wish the bike was lower and seat was back 2 inches..
Thank You for your asking..Joe

Hello Joe,
I have a Honda VTX 1800 with 5500 miles. I have been looking at BMWs and would be interested in your bike if you would consider a trade and I can pay you the difference. The bike has never been dropped and is silver.
Paul

I thank you for offer but not interested in a VTX 1800..
I ride with my wife all the time and rent full dress Harley and this is the bike I might consider..
After my shoulder surgery I will play with RT if I still have it
and play with the seating..
I have a Harley seat on it and will say it is close to my requirement and may raise handlebars and lower foot rest..
Wish you well in finding your bike ..Did you ever talk to dealer on tradein...Joe

Your price is right but I have a question about the rear fender. Did you cut the lower half off and attach that blue piece? I must admit the picture of it doesn't make it look very good. It looks a little rough and out of place. Closer pic available?

Yes did cut rear fender and painted it blue and it is not rough but would say it clashes some with flat black and was thinking of painting with wrinkle flat black..
I did not like the orginal fender with license plate tabs and
wanted to clean it up...
It is a alum rear fender...

I personally don't like the fender mod in the back, the front fender from an 1150RT? looks really good. The extra engine covers look ok. Sorry, but I'm going to keep looking and thanks for the reply.

1) Is this bike still available?
2) If so, can the orgininal front & rear fenders be reinstalled on the bike?
3) Would you be willing to trade for a fully loaded 2003 H-D Electra Glide Ultra Classic, 100-yr anniversary model, black, 39k miles, lots of extras? I have it for sale right now on Ebay. Check it out. They bike is in Hollywood, FL (zip 33027) and the last 6 numbers of the VIN are 622157.
Please let me know. Thanks.
